Liesjärvi national park is situated along main road 2 in Tammela. It covers 800 hectares and has 40 km of shoreline. The area features magnificent old forests and beautiful eskers such as Kyynäränharju. The park has a good network of well-equipped hiking trails, a tent site and fire rings. The area also features a heritage farm called Korteniemi, where visitors can acquaint themselves with the way of life on a forest ranger's farm around 1910. The trails in the area form part of the Häme Lynx Trail (Hämeen Ilvesreitti).
