The Nation Park and recreation area is situated on Kaukola Esker, on a neck of land between Lake Pyhäjärvi in Tammela and Lake Kuivajärvi. The Tammela-Porras road passes through the area, which covers a total of 52 hectares and has 3 kilometres of shoreline. The area features a wonderful sandy beach and an entire esker kettle Lake called Suujärvi. The area covers Saari Nation Park and the esker area to the south of it. Services include Lounais-Hämeen Pirtti (South-western Häme Log Cabin) housing a restaurant. The area has a swimming beach and a swimming area with springboards, barbecue sites, marked hiking trails, a sauna and an observation tower in the high ridge of Kaukola esker. There is an info sign in the parking lot with a more detailed map of the area and the services available. Häme Lynx Trail (Hämeen Ilvesreitti) begins in Nation Park.
The area is owned by Forssa and Tammela.
